Recently, I came across a video by Dr Shiva speaking about Hair Loss and the potential of Astralugus Root which is rich in polysaccharides for growing thick and healthy hair. Astralugus increases the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) genes, which promotes hair growth. Astragaloside IV may be used for treatment of hair diseases such as alopecia, effluvium and hirsutism by retarding spontaneous catagen.

I ordered 2 packs of organic Astralugus Root and gave it a try.

Boiled a handful of astralugus in a pot until the water turns a lil' yellow. Pour out into a bowl. Water tastes pleasantly fragrant and sweet.

Now in my 2nd week into it, i feel a faster hair growth and a lil' itch on scalp like some action going on. Not sure if it's my imagination. Will continue for another week and order more of it.

It's a fascinating journey to piece the puzzle and try connect the dots on what really causes patterned hair loss.
