Astralugus Root
Recently, I came across a video by Dr Shiva speaking about Hair Loss and the potential of Astralugus Root which is rich in polysaccharides for growing thick and healthy hair. Astralugus increases the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) genes, which promotes hair growth. Astragaloside IV may be used for treatment of hair diseases such as alopecia, effluvium and hirsutism by retarding spontaneous catagen.
I ordered 2 packs of organic Astralugus Root and gave it a try.

Boiled a handful of astralugus in a pot until the water turns a lil' yellow. Pour out into a bowl. Water tastes pleasantly fragrant and sweet.
Now in my 2nd week into it, i feel a faster hair growth and a lil' itch on scalp like some action going on. Not sure if it's my imagination. Will continue for another week and order more of it.

Ingredients in Shampoos does make a difference
As someone who has always loved experimenting with different hair care products, my experience with shampoos has been a roller coaster of highs and lows. I have encountered a series of unfortunate experiences that have led me to question the efficacy and safety of some products.
I experienced scalp irritation; flaky bumps and tangled locks that left me uncomfortable. I attributed these issues to the ingredients in these shampoos which changed my hair texture. Somehow the ingredients that was said to removing dirt and oils but were also stripping my hair of its natural moisture and protective oils. My hair became increasingly brittle, leading to breakage that left me feeling disheartened and frustrated.
I found myself in a cycle of trying to fix the dryness and damage inflicted by one shampoo with another conditioner, only to be met with further disappointment. After expending significant time and money on these product…

Balding Spots
Hi there! I am a 35yo male. Recently I observed that my top hair is thinning and some parts on the back of my head has bald spots forming, What do you think is causing this? And do you think there are solutions to prevent it from getting worse?

Hi Travis, glad to see you in the Community.
Your thinning hair is very minor and fairly common, so no worries there.
You may try the Gutto Forte Shampoo and Serum to improve scalp condition and increase hair density to cover the very minor bald areas.

My experience with oils on scalp
Years ago, I had thought that nourishing the scalp with oils like Amla oil, Olive oil, Argan oil, Coconut oil would be a great idea, but years of experimenting with oils had me skeptical about its effectiveness.
Was it doing more harm than good? here is my analysis:
Any product that leaves the scalp oily for a long period of time will eventually clog the pores, accumulate dirt and make the environment on the scalp grimy.
The oil residue if left sitting on the scalp unwashed could pose hygiene issues - this can be visibly observed and felt when you start to have bumps, scabs, and flakes starting to appear on the scalp.
Nature always gives you signs and signals to hint at you to warn you something isn't right. So be observant: A healthy scalp is free of scabs, flakes, discharges.
Over the years, I have made observations and…

I dont know. From a natural point of view, I cant see pricking your scalp will somehow cause hair to grow. I may be wrong, others can comment.
Isn't it causing injury and scarring and uneccesary inflammation?
